Installing Sun's Java for your web browser
Usually going to www.sun.com and into their downloads section works fine to find Java for your browser, but every now and then the installation will get halfway through and throw and error because it can't reach one of Sun's servers to download the next step of the install. If you have that problem, there's an offline installation file you can use instead. Scroll down and you'll see both online and offline links. Use the offline link and go ahead with your Java install. This way the installation will have all the files necessary, and you won't have to worry about it having communication problems with Sun's servers mid-install.
